The economy of Mainland China continues to develop at a fast pace just as Hong Kong continues to benefit from the Mainland China’s boom and various financial policies instigated by the PRC Government. A combination of these factors have opened up plenty of opportunities for investment, particularly for companies based in Hong Kong.
Goldin Financial Holdings Limited ("Goldin Financial") is listed on the main board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (Stock code: 530) and is made up of three main business segments:
- Real Estate
Since the early years, Goldin Financial recognised the tremendous business potentials in the factoring business sector in China. Goldin Financial understands that to run a business, enterprises may have to devote great effort to improve the working capital and worry about credit risk when dealing with unfamiliar overseas buyers. Factoring service is the purchase of short-term receivables and represents a form of post-sale finance for Sellers/Exporters selling on Open Account terms and has continuously remained a key revenue driver for the Group.
Factoring service helps to enhance capital liquidity as well as reduce credit risk. Factoring is a convenient way to raise additional working capital without the need for collateral. Furthermore, as a business grows, its working capital increases and factoring is the best solution for funding this increase. Goldin Financial can also help to reduce the difficulties in debt-collection.
China’s steadily increasing role as a global economic powerhouse has been accompanied by an explosion in the size of its affluent middle class. This in turn has created a huge rise in the demand for more “sophisticated” luxury end products such as wine.
In June 2011, Goldin Financial acquired the renowned 40-acre SLOAN ESTATE in the most celebrated Napa Valley winemaking hub. And in 2013, a deal was concluded that saw Goldin Financial assume ownership of three Bordeaux châteaux, totalling nearly 40 acres.
Many factors contribute to making a great wine; from the terroir, to the grapes, to the techniques used to produce wine from these grapes. To us, the most important factor in the winemaking process is the human element. Our people who work in a winery do so because they share a passion for the inexact science and cultured art that is winemaking.
